Happy Oktoberfest!

Saturday was La Crosse's huge Oktoberfest parade. We were so excited for the girls to wear authentic lederhosen! Both came from Grandma Hermann after a trip to Germany... I'm guessing around 1984-85. The red pair were mine, the green were Luke's. They have been in a trunk the last 25 years... boy am I glad they were saved!! Kynzley and Olive got lots of smiles and waves that day!

The parade was a success, both girls lasted for almost all of the 3 hour+ parade! Just at the very end Olive laid her head down on my shoulder... she was done! So we walked home and both of the girls passed out immediately!

So much fun with good friends!

We had the best day at the orchard with Maria and Kynzley, and Sarah and Lucy. It was a beautiful day and the girls ran around the ENTIRE 2 1/2 hours! Thanks again Sarah and Lucy for taking the train to visit us! I won't ever forget Olive's face when she woke up in the car from her nap and Lucy was in a car seat right next to her!! Olive was so excited!!

Gull Lake Vacation 2011

She liked the little sunny!

Lucy caught her very first fish on her brand new fishing pole from her Daddy. She loved it!

Olive LOVES to eat sand!

The girls playing in the sand... they didn't seem to care that it was 50 degrees :)

Grandpa filling up Lucy's pink and purple tackle box!!

Out for a boat ride with Grandpa! We actually got caught in a little storm out there... both girls did awesome, even getting splashed with water when hitting the waves!!

We had such a wonderful vacation. Who really cares if the weather wasn't the greatest! We were at the lake with great family and friends. Thanks everyone! Can't wait for next year!
